Myrtle Beach, Fla., hotels are full.
It’s the final day of the Airbnb vacation and the owner of the popular Airbnb guesthouse says the last guests are coming soon.
But when guests like me arrive early for our last day of lodging, there’s something else we need to do.
For the last few months, my husband and I have been trying to find a hotel in Laguna Beach.
We’ve been using Airbnb to book hotel rooms, but the process has been overwhelming.
The rental is typically $1,500 per night, but for our hotel room, we’re looking at $4,000.
The hotel is a four-star hotel and we’ll be staying in one of the suites.
We’re still looking at hotels in San Diego and Portland, Ore., but we’re just about out of options.
“I’m tired of trying to book the room for a couple of nights out.
We need a hotel for two days out of every four, so it’s a very stressful situation,” says my husband, who works in sales for a travel agency.
So we’re finally making the decision to get an Airbnb guestroom in Lagunas resort.
And if it doesn’t work out, we’ll stay with friends.
We can rent it for a few nights or even a few days.
The problem is, we don’t want to stay in one hotel.
