BARCELONA and SIMFEROPOL will meet again for the first time since the start of the season in an EPL clash.
Barcelona were on the brink of losing their first game at the Nou Camp in a 4-0 thrashing to Sevilla in October before the Spanish giants took the lead thanks to two goals from Xavi Hernandez.
The hosts have since taken a step back in the Premier League, but will have a much more comfortable start to their 2017-18 campaign, with Barca set to be without Jordi Alba and Marcelo and a number of key players due to injury.
The return of Alba, who was ruled out for six months by the knee injury he picked up in the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, will add some much-needed pace to the squad.
With Sergio Busquets, Jordi Sanchez and Pedro Sanchez all fit to face the reigning champions, Sevilla have looked to be in great form this term, despite the departure of the likes of Mario Suarez and Yohan Cabaye.
Barca will look to add some quality in their squad after missing out on a top-four finish last season, but the return of the Argentine and his compatriot Dani Alves is also likely to be welcomed.
Alves, who has scored twice in eight EPL games this term as Barca have struggled with injuries, is also unlikely to feature in the starting XI.
Alves was at the centre of the Barcelona defence during the 4-1 win over Chelsea last month and it is hoped that he can get back into the starting line-up for the game at Camp Nou.
Sevilla have been struggling to find form and form has not always been an issue for the Catalan side, but their recent form has been less impressive, with their only goal coming in the 3-1 loss at Chelsea in the Champions League last 16.
